Samira Ahmadi Named CREW Boston’s 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year
We’re proud to share that Samira Ahmadi, founding principal of enviENERGY Studio, has been named CREW Boston’s 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year. This award honors individuals who exemplify leadership, innovation, and meaningful impact in the commercial real estate industry.
Samira founded enviENERGY Studio in 2016 with what she describes as “a simple dream: to build something bigger than myself — a consulting firm powered by passion, purpose, and people who believe in the work.” What began as a regional firm focused on energy performance analysis has since grown into a nationally recognized consultancy supporting decarbonization, occupant health, and high-performance building design across higher education, multifamily, and commercial sectors.
Throughout that journey, Samira has remained focused on building a team-centered practice. “My team is my greatest accomplishment,” she shared during her remarks. “They are an inspiration to me as I see myself in each of them… Thank you for enabling me to lead, to grow, and to take on new challenges every day.”
A strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Samira has shaped enviENERGY as a woman-owned business rooted in collaboration and integrity. She credits her personal experiences — including immigrating from Iran and building a life in the U.S. — with influencing her approach to leadership and entrepreneurship. “When people ask me about the risks I took starting my business, my answer is simple: the real risk would have been not starting. Waiting for the perfect moment is far riskier than taking a leap toward something you believe in.”
Her advice to others considering their next move? “If you want to start your own business, initiate a new project, or launch a new department… don’t wait for the perfect moment. Build your network. Grow your skills. Start today.”
